Mark your calendars! The Black Food Sovereignty Conference 2024 is taking place at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), on Saturday, October 19, 2024. This impactful day will be filled with thought-provoking discussions, hands-on workshops, and opportunities to connect with experts, activists, and community leaders who are passionate about reclaiming and reshaping Black food systems.

The conference will explore critical topics such as agriculture, food policy, and cultural heritage in the context of Black communities, offering attendees valuable insights and strategies for creating a more equitable and inclusive food system. Morning refreshments and a catered lunch are included to keep participants energized throughout the day.

The event will conclude at TMU around 5:30 PM, but the networking and celebration will continue with an Evening Social, hosted at Alternity (333 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1W7). The social gathering will feature a catered dinner and entertainment, providing a relaxed atmosphere for further discussions and connections.
