DESTA Black Community Network is located in Little Burgundy, the southwestern Montreal neighborhood that was historically home to the city’s Black community. The network aims to reduce barriers to employment for Black youth and launched its food incubator initiative in 2020. Historically, marginalized communities do not have the same access to funding nor to a network, elements, that are vitally important in the culinary industry. This is where DESTA steps in to bridge the gap.
