Canada Invests in Development and Growth of Co-operatives

The Government of Canada is investing $82,150 in the Newfoundland-Labrador Federation of Co-operatives (NLFC) to support the growth of co-operative organizations in the Northeast Avalon region of Newfoundland and Labrador. The funding comes through the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program and aims to promote the development of new co-operatives in the area.

The co-operative incubator pilot program will offer training, advisory services, and mentorship opportunities to clients through a network of experienced advisors and established co-operatives. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to build stronger communities and foster a resilient, inclusive economy that benefits all Canadians.
