OCASI’s Capacity Building and Training initiative focuses on Small Black-led and Racialized Organizations (SBLROs) to address the systemic barriers they face in securing funding and serving their communities. The project, running from May 15, 2023, to June 30, 2024, aims to enhance the capacity of SBLROs to navigate funding processes, propose projects, and manage grants.

Key components of the project include a Training Needs Assessment, a knowledge and skill development program, networking forums, mentorship, and resource dissemination. This initiative seeks to promote equity by providing support, knowledge, and tools to help SBLROs effectively serve their communities and overcome systemic challenges.
